encompass consulting secures Welsh Assembly Government contract for RWE nPower Pembrokeshire Power Station – local supply initiative

encompass consulting are pleased to announce that they have secured a new eighteen month contract to deliver the Welsh Assembly Government’s ‘Sourcing for General Goods and Services’ contract  for the build of the RWE nPower Pembrokeshire Power Station.

We have joined forces with Bob Palmer from Beaufort Consulting in Swansea to ensure coverage throughout South & West Wales, with an aim to ensure that as many local companies  as possible benefit from the opportunities arising from this large construction project. Our aim is to act as a conduit between buyers and local suppliers and we already have contact with the initial contractors and first sub contractors on site.

We have established a directory of suppliers who have the capacity and capability of working at this level, and are keen to ensure those we may have missed have the chance to join. The directory is used by the contractors to source local goods and services. Entry is free, but subject to scrutiny and assessment through a benchmarking exercise by our consultants in order to establish that companies are suitable for entry.

We also have an accommodation directory for employees & outside contractors arriving on site which is updated at regular intervals.
